The Haynes manual says there is a hinged lid on the housing which will be accessible once the rubber beading has been removed. I'm planning to do my 96 estate's pollen filter when I service it in the coming weeks so just happened to stumble across this. Apologies if it's all sorted.

Omega General Help / Part number required
« on: 30 July 2022, 12:48:28 »
Hi all,

On my 1996 2,5 td, I have an oily mess around the back of the fan at the top, I think it's probably vapour from the hose feeding the egr valve which looks a few mm too short and looks unevenly cut at one end. Does anyone know the part number? I can't find anything online and there doesn't seem to be an article on this in the maintenance section. Thanks in advance

Hello All,
I've recently acquired a 1996 Omega 2.5td CD auto estate. I had an Omega saloon (the apparently unloved 2.0 petrol) also in CD trim and also on a 96 N plate around 16-17 years ago. I always join a forum when I change cars and having had over 60, I'm a member on a few, always using this username (Land Rover Discovery forum member; anyone?)
I'm in Blackwood South Wales, at some point I'll post some pics.
Cheers!
