Nice easy fix thenIndeedy
and a nice looking car
A "P1600" doesn't confirm the ECU is dead or faultyBut it has been chipped, so much more likely the issue
it could be a damaged loom, connector pin, blown fuse .poor earth ,trapped wire or similar
even a sensor plugged in the wrong part of the loom or moisture ingress
proper inspection and methodical diagnostics are required
Wasn't that the original 1.0/1.1/1.3 Fester lumpDoes the Ecoboom last long enough to actually require a new belt?Or just avoiding the ecoboom in the first place.
Any mileage in retrofitting a 1.0 pinto in it's place
That's the one
What the hell is a 1.0l Pinto? And don't forget, the normal 1.6 or 2.0l Pintos are long, tall and heavy when compared to similar capacity 4 cylinder engines. Not to mention expensive now that the cars they came in are well over thirty years old.
Yes they are, thanks for comment, engine and garage floor absolutely dry. Hope smell dissappear step by step.
I doubt it very much they seem to be invincibleI did say 'should'
