British Gas.  They move my account to a new platform, but there is no app available for that yet, apparently.

Surely, in this day and age, an app should be developed alongside any platform, not an afterthought.

Fikkin' useless mongrels, suspect its a punishment for giving them the piss-off pill over smart meters.

Not sure why I'd need an app. They* give me a pipe and gas comes out. That's all I need :y

* - Well, not British Gas, as it happens.

I've just booked a holiday.
Lots of pressure to "download the App" to access flight details etc
What happens if I drop my phone down the bog, or get it nicked, or flattened by an elephant, or whatever? I always carry old fashioned printed paper as well as any "App". Also, I'm getting old, what happens when I can't do Apps?

.

Did you not have the option to have everything posted to you? The P&O cruise we've just come back from emailed all details to me but I also ticked the box to have everything sent to me via post don't see why we should have to  print everything off.

The price of replacement rear light clusters.  Even cracked ones are over £200 on that stupid site loved my so many.  Makes the jaw dropping £661.28 that JLR want seem almost reasonable.  Only I might need 2.  FFS.

The Frenchies protesting ( with the usual waste bins and car set on fire) about their retirement age being raised from 62 to 64. How does the state manage even with it at 64. We aren’t talking the paltry level of UK state pension ( worst in Europe apparently) either. It has been an eye opener seeing the levels that the Spanish get.

A mate of mine who's not short of a few bob, bought a 19 plate Jag 4x4 not sure what model it is , after a couple of brake issues he's getting rid because it's just too expensive for parts , I've told him to find an independent for service/repairs but he always uses main dealerships.

Using independent places won't make the parts any cheaper or more available.

Depends what parts we're talking about. If it's just standard brake consumables,  as it sounds like, then it absolutely will make them cheaper.

The total cost perhaps but Jag parts will cost the same.

Which of the equivalent cars(Audi, BMW etc) will actually be cheaper on service/consumable parts?
