Went for MOT so I could get an idea what I'm up against, Only failed on one thing to my surprise... Passenger side steering idler or something they garage didn't know the name of it... Fair but of play but not bad thought it would have failed on a list of things  ;D

Lemforder from AGP as said.

The LMF and egay £15 ones, if fitted today, would not pass tomoroow's MOT. I can not begin to describe how poor they are.

and i presume that the part would cost much more from a local VX  :-\ (without TC price don't have it and none on the VX dealers accept them around this way anyway.)

A quick update... ;)

Managed to get the steering idler off without too much bother, and i think while she's in the air I'll do the brakes and an oil change..

a quick question is the oil filter the same type as on 2.2 petrol or different ?

Some pic's..

That looks like a really good way to bend the chassis rails :o

Discs aren't too clever either ::)

It's a tough old thing she'll take it if it knows what's good for it  ;D

Aye I'm replacing them, discs and pads from local factors will be around £90-£100  ;)

Disc and pad set is £100 from VX, don't bother with the factors for anything other than rear discs :y

And be sure to only fit vented discs to the rear :y

3.2 one certainly looks like that, but about twice what you need to pay for one :-\ Again VX is usually cheaper than factors for all service items, including oil :y
