i'm awaiting delivery of 2 sets of the Ring H1 +120% jobbies.....    (for the jag)

found a place doing them on a 2fer offer.....    got 2 pairs for about £29....  as opposed to the £25 per set most places seem to be asking.

apparently,   replacing bulbs is a PITA in the X type....

oh joy.....

Nightbreakers are noticibly better, but seem to have a shorter life. I guess thats the compromise.

I suspect other brands are similar, sorry MaxV6 ;D

If its anything like my XJ, you have to take the headlights out (well definately the drivers side, I can just do bulbs on the passenger side in situ), and to do this you have to remove part of the undershield and remove front bumper - real PITA

After having a look tonight i see there are 3 Bulbs each side A small one for the sidelight, Then the dipped headlight bulb. and then another that comes on when you select the main beam.. So therefore i take it you need to buy both of these sets below.

Is that correct  :-[ :-[ :-[

well,  i fitted the Ring +120% jobbies to the X type Jag on friday, prior to another trip to deepest darkest North wales, this weekend    gotta say, they're effing great....    huge improvement in both dipped and full beam , the jag's std NON HID lamps are utter pants....

it's now a match for the HIDs on my Mv6.

will report back on longevity when they fail......    ;)

Blimey :o

Seeing as GM always have universally shite headlights, and a HID'd Omega is no exception, the standard Jag ones must be really, really bad :o

I find the HID Omega lamps bloody good tbh.  The candles in the e39 are epically shite.
