Would Dave’s secret extend to my (2000) facelift one (black button red T)?

Also help!

I have ignored my TM up to now, but occasionally I accidentally hit the T button and get the usual spiel about subscriptions (which again I ignore). But sometimes having hit the button it comes up with “Message” in the radio display and completely disables all radio controls, no sounds etc; can’t turn radio off even with key out and door locked. Pull out radio and reconnect, it comes on and still the “Message” appears in the display and no control over radio and no sounds. Have to disconnect battery to solve it (which is rather annoying).

Anyone know how to get rid of this “Message” when it appears? apart from disconnecting TM completely. I have hit all the buttons that I can think of when it occurs to try and read the message to no avail – anyone got the instructions for using TM with a Philips CCR 2006?

(by the way, nice pic iggy21uk)

Its not a mesage you can read, it displays message when a Traffic Alert is recieved and then mutes the Stereo and Plays the Message (in a female robo voice).

As far as I know if you de power the TM then it will stop diplaying message.

Hi,

I've used Trafficmaster for years, 1st in my Calibra with a standalone unit called Freeway, and then on my last Megga and now this one.  I reckon it's really worth having - saved me hours of traffic holdups!  But then I do about 20k miles a year.

Have PM'd Dave too  :)

Trafficmaster is still quite beneficial if you do a reasonable mileage, and from feedback given, works fairly well.

The only gripe everybody seems to have is the around £30 a year subscription that they charge. Obviously I cannot discuss this subscription issue any further on a public forum, but by all means PM me and I`ll let you into a little secret

 :y

After starting this thread I think I will now ask please Dave for you know what!  PM to be sent in a mo! ;D ;D ;)

Cheers TB -- might give it a shot. At the mo I just rely on what little common sense I possess and Jane on the TomTom --- but, TM is responsive to traffic conditions, so has to be better
