My original intention of this thread - lost as it started out as PMs and another thread - was to be able to learn the code for the NCDR1500/GID/CDC3/Telematics, so I could depair, and add a colour screen, and repair.

With immense assistance from Dave DND and Marks DTM Calib, not to mention borrowing a CDC board from Tunnie, I have now achieved that goal, and my NCDR1500 setup has been depaired, and repaired with a code more appropriate for my car.  Now I just need to fix the 2 faulty CIDs I have here (had to buy another faulty one, prepaired, but with known code, for testing).  I have a 3rd faulty CID belonging to another member that will allow me to fix one of mine if we can agree a price ;D

To prove the process used to obtain the unknown code, I am waiting on somebody with the skills, knowledge and equipment to send me a dump of their cdc board, once he has fixed his reader ;D
I should add, there is still much to be learnt, and although my original goal was met, I am intrigued to find out more.

As a minimum, I certainly would like to be able to have a process for depairing any component with an unknown code, be it via finding out the code in a similar manner, or by putting a depaired image on the unit (which will then need some kind of tech2 work afterwards).  I guess Dave DND is best placed to answer which is the best road to go down there?

I came across this post, and would like to add that I have depaired a few NCDCs using this method, so I think the process is proven :y

Yes I think the NCDC decoding you have mastered is well proven now!  ::) :y

Where did we get to with Telematics? Seems a long time now!

Nowhere. CID stuff was next, but then I shagged all my spare CIDs  :'(
