General Car Chat / Re: Vectra VXR 2.8T
« on: 07 December 2011, 17:31:36 »
i have had a vectra vxr,now i know a bit about them and you have to state when talking about them which one your on about   :P

theres the 255 vectra vxr and the 280 vectra vxr,the later one has chassis refinements and obviously more waft standard, yes the later one costs more on the old road tax but hey thats not my problem  ???

so if your knocking the vectra vxr please state which one it was as i know the later cars are much better  :D

any good chair trimmer should know about reconnolising,my mate chester autotrim aka keith the seat does it and for many proper main dealers and even the bloke who owns scimitar cars ltd now has him do all his trim stuff,so its good enough for them its good enough for me and his reconnolising is amazing  :D

your looking at not that much compared to new cost or leather retrim to reconnolise a drivers chair btw  :y

OP - you need to use facelift seats. See the Guides on seats ;)

yes thats the plan matey,i just want either the leather recaro chairs out of a fl mv6 and a elite heated leather rear chair or possibly a complete saloon mv6 fl lt with all the gubbins, theres no way i want a trim from a earlier car and say its not got the right airbags and me light comes on the dash  :D

anyway back on track,i have a 22 dti elite and thats that and i'm not getting a petrol omeega to keep even if someone tells me they are lucky on one or they are the best thing since matey bubblebath.

So would you hardened omeegah boys buy a car for the trim and then bomb the car off or wait for a mv6 leather fl recaro trim ??

thanking you  :P

flaming hell its not easy this omeegah specing up lark  :(

suppose i could just swop the insides from my elite rear chair into a leather mv6 one and the job would be jobbed unless someones gonna tell me thats a non starter too  :D

Good point Tunnie  !  An Elite diesel...Yuck !

eh ? i have had v6 omegas,2.0 omegas,2.2 petrol omegas and also diesel omegas and i would not touch anything else other than a diesel now. i also know a lpg specialist  and see too many vauxhalls that run crap on gas or cost loads when they go wrong so my omega of choice is a 2.2 dti elite that does nearly 50 mpg and can run cheeep bio no probs, also i don't care about performance just comfort and economy as its our smoker.
if i want performance i drive my mitsi evo  :D.

anyway back on track i want a recaro leathered up high spec diesel fl and could not find one so it looks like the only way is to build one  :y

Omega General Help / mv6 wots it worth ??
« on: 06 October 2011, 13:35:36 »
sorry of this is in the wrong room,if it is shift it plese  :D

ok i fancy  leather mv6 trim and have spotted a complete 3.0 ltr mv6 fl saloon with the correct leather trim, now i do not want a big engined petrol car so am considering buying it and swopping stuff over like the full leather recaro trim and a few other bits and bobs and getting rid again
thing is its a tidy looking car and if i swop stuff off our elite onto the mv6 i think it could make the car unsellable unless your not fussed and want a big engined vauxhall with a spec thats not right anymore. So the other option is breaking it to get rid,
i know people use the engines for vectra conversions but am i likely to get stuck with it after i have had the trim and a few other goodies and really i'm better just waiting for a mv6 lt recaro trim and save myself the hassle..
thanks in advance   ???

HI MATEY, tbh i can't be arsed messing around if they won't plug in so i just want to wop in some (now i'm being specific here) facelift mv6 recaro leather chairs and matching door cards and back chairs, i like the way they look simmilar to cosworth sierra recaro chairs.

just so i know for sure does 00-03 mv6 leather recaro chairs have side airbags ?,i want to make sure i don't buy stuff thats not right  :P

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: strange dash electrical problem
« on: 16 September 2010, 15:19:57 »
tried the fuses bearing in mind i'm with the car and the handbooks are not, whipped out fuse 12 nothing wrong there, tried fuse 15 and it was blown  :D  great stuff so i got a 20 amp and chucked it in and the dash works fine now  :y

so then i wondered what fuse 12 was and then to my horror i thought i hope its not the bleedin radio as i don't have a security pass and i tried it and its gone into safe mode  :(

flipping going blackpool tonight and would not have been happy not knowing what speed i wasn't doing or if somthing started going wrong i wouldn't have known about it and now thats fixed i have no music so i can't turn it up if they all start moaning and to boot i have the mother in law in the back  :-/

anyone know how to find a code for a phillips 2006 ccr quick  :question

Thanks  :P

Check fuse 15 (or is it 12).  :y

will do cocker,i tried pushing the speedos, smacking the speedos and tbh if i walloped them anymore i'd break somthing  :-?

Will try the fuses tommorow,so its possible for a fuse to blow and all the dash guages not work ? i have no speedo or fuel gague working so its not exactly comfortable motoring at the mo,also my on board computers not working  ::)

Cheers so far though lads  :y
