PFL DIS pack question
« on: 17 October 2014, 16:50:02 »

Aren't all Pre-Facelift V6 DIS Packs the same? FL 2.6/3.2 I seem to recall they are different? Will be getting one from a fellow OOFer, most likely, but Local scrappy may have a FL V6 in, too, hence the question...

Reason being - a possible DIS pack faltering on the V6 (non-existent idle, well-documented in Help Section)

Given its a 96 which is probably the early vertical mount one, I might have one.

Hi all, thanks for the replies.

The snag is (sorry, as documented elsewhere, thought I'd mentioned it in the above post) my father(previous owner) in his wisdom cut the plug off, and spliced a Vectra DIS pack in, so no idea how I'd know which pack is required (if it matters, the difference, I assume, is only in the plug, yes?)

The plan is, whether it be the DIS or not, at some point in time to reinstate the correct DIS pack in - and re-graft a 'proper' Omega plug.

Would my local friendly Stealer be able to tell me, given the reg no, which is the correct DIS pack, or would they get it wrong every year like they traditionally do with the filter on the Turbo Weasel? (  :o ::) ;D )

PS on December 96, she's definitely very much pre-mini facelift, though has the second type of vac pipe routing, which came in about 95 or so. If that helps.

Waffle over, back to the studio!

Update, here's my MAF plug, which I believe is supposed to normally be the same as the DIS pack...

I'll be on the way down to the van at skeggy so its no problem to pop in to yours on a flying visit with a coil pack if needed  :y
That's if I get this piggin oil cooler sorted before then  >:(
