Title: a few questions on 2.5 tractor estate
Post by: mathewst on 28 February 2012, 13:13:58
The car needs  some maintenance so I could use some info.
First problem is that washer system is not working.
I know there is washing liquid inside but nothing is spraying on front or rear glass when the system is engaged.
Wipers are working correctly.
I am guessing it is some sort of problem with a washer pump?
Where is this located and can the pump be easily removed (I could use some hints what needs to be removed and how complicated it is).
Second issue are the front shocks which are in lousy condition.
What I need to know are the shocks on 2.5 td tractor interchangeable with 2.0 petrol estate (cause I've seen some on sale virtually new just fitted on a petrol 2.0 estate mig being breaked)
Thanks in advance for any advice provided

Washer pump is behind the front bumper  :y

The TD engine is weighs alot more then the 2ltr so I would avoid the shockers.
They will be a totally different rate  ;)

Washer pump is the smaller one on the right in pic, can be accessed with bonnet open, lives behind front bumper

Ok thanks RobG, cant see very well cause of the big engine and large fans.
Glad to know it is reachable from the upper side, so I'll take a better look later.
No only I need to sort the shock question.
been looking on ebay and KYB shock part numbers for 2.0 petrol and 2.5 td seem to be the same so this would mean that they are the same shock absorbers.
I wish someone could confirm this
