Title: Stress
Post by: Marie on 26 March 2008, 12:53:27
ok so i have serval things going on at the mo:

1. Hubby is away so i am home alone with the son in the week and jase is back on the weekend. this is not so bad when the child goes to bed on time! but no when jase is away shane does nothin but play up.

2. With shane playing up i am unable to study properly for my exams. ok i have one tomorrow and i am praying that he gives a clue today what to expect in the exam.

3. In may i might loose loose my job and be booted out the royal navy cos they damaged my hearing and now i have tinnitus which plays up in the cold and wind. i can do my job buty its whether they want to keep me.

4. The car keeps playin up and i am threaders with it. and its costing me a fortune. i know i spent money for a lpg conversion but its going to save me money next year after i have recoupped the cost of it.

5. I am so tired its untrue i have shopping bags under my eyes. i hardly have any time to chill out its untrue. its also making me short tempered and patentless which i feel really bad when i snap at my son.

i am finding things so hard at the mo. i know i am run down cos i am letting the small things get to me.

I AM STRESSED :'( :'( :'(
but
Feel loads better for spillin my guts out to you guys and gals  :)

Thankyou.

Do they not have an equivalent to the Army's 'Fit For Role' when basically a doctor recognises you have a medical problem, whether it was the MOD's fault or not, but you can do the job you're doing without it getting worse.  What with the tri-service harmenisation going on I am sure they must have something.  Do you have Navy lawyers you can speak to?

At the very worst they kick you out with a load of cash, you buy a better Omega, take a holiday and go work for a garage or engineering company  :y

Marie -- I know what it''s like when the littl'un plays up -- but it WILL pass. Take every chance you can to rest up when he slows down!!!!

As for the job .... the Navy has invested heavily in you and your training to date -- they will not throw that away lightly.

As for the car ... hmmm .. just looking bad cos you are low.

And you can always vent your spleen here .... and resist the temptation to tell hubby what to do with the paperclip !!!!!  ::)

Well, the car can be sorted so try not to worry about it.

If the breather has fallen down that might just explain the fluid leakage. A certain amount of fluid will be thrown up the breather when running and if it doesn't end high enough it will escape. :-/ Even if the box has to come off, we can sort it, and the cam covers too if necessary. It might put the LPG plans on the back burner for a while but it will get sorted.

I know how frustrating it is when you spend a lot of time on a job and it goes pear shaped due to a small detail. It's even worse when your other half appears to run out of support for your efforts but you come out of it wiser in the end and better perpared to tackle the next project.

Ickle people aren't really my forte, however. :-/

Everyone feels that way sometimes. It's normal.

Tiredness (son up late) will contribute.

Hubby away and having to deal with everything will contribute.

Uncertainty on exams and job will contribute.

It's hardly surprising really, you're just reacting like most people would and, whilst it may not feel much like it right now, you will feel better once the exam is over and the hubby (and car) are safely back :y

In the meantime either study, or if you really can't and it will add to the stress, relax and make sure you get a good night's sleep. That may well prove more valuable than cramming and not getting enough sleep.

Sleep tight! ;)

I'm sure the exam will go ok ... you've done the work so why shouldn't it ??? - stop worrying ..  :)

I'm sure the navy won't throw you out ... they've sent you on a course.. they wouldn't do that just to throw you out ....  stop worrying ... :)

The miggy has a few minor hiccups that you have already proved you are well capable of sorting with time and a little help ... stop worrying ... :)

"Little One" is just doing what all ankle snappers do... playing Mum up while Dad's away ... ( just think what Dad goes through when you are away )...... as proved last night .. they all sleep eventually, just a matter of tiring them out sufficiently ... I used to take mine to the play park for an hour 1800-1900, wear em out and then they would sleep ... so ... stop worrying ....  :)

Detect a common thread here ??  ..  :)

Take care and good luck with the exam .. not that you need it .. :)  :y :y

Gotta start @ 4am tomorrow & no.1 son won't speak to me or his Mother since Xmas @cos he had i row with her saying we had him on a whim. (He was planned & wanted)
