Title: Will not start
Post by: Zuffenhausen on 29 February 2012, 19:20:45
Our 3.0L Elite will not start, the EML is flashing.  :'(
I've done the paperclip test and got one code, 89 LHS Lambda sensor
Is this the cause, or is there something more serious?

I had the same code on mine last night.

As Rob said, flashing eml is an imobiliser fault

Found the chip on the pavement this morning, must have fallen out when the key head split open.
Replaced the chip, car started 1st time  :y
Super glued the two halves of the key together, won't have that problem again.

Thanks everyone for your help.  :)
