Post by: Becker on 01 March 2012, 23:16:24
Was just wondering if a carlton lsd can be fitted or built into an omega casing??

yes it can, and its relatively easy - I normally keep the cwp already there and just swap over the crownwheel carrier with the LSD gubbins.

it's far from cheap tho. Retail, the parts alone will be the same cost as a complete good-condition Omega

Carlton being Omega A in the continental Europe, right? Are other rear suspension parts interchangeable between omega and Carlton?

certain parts are interchangeable, provided the Omega A is of the right vintage.

trailing arms, driveshafts, brakes, camber-correction arms.

CCA only on GSI 3000 and Diamond 24v Estate, not on any other models as far as I am aware.
