It really is about about time we had another fuel strike. I can remember when putting £5 in my Dad's Cortina would be a nice round 4 GALLONS  ..... best part of 20 litres  >:(  >:(  >:(

we,re all doomed, unleaded here is between £1.06 - £1.10,
6 months ago it was 96p a litre,

first the gov ripped us off good and proper on fuel tax,
then the oil companies added a bit more for theirselves,
now the petrol stations are jumping on the band-wagon too,

its discusting whats happening and i cant see it getting any better now...

just put £20 in mine as said before getting about 70 miles to the score, if i put together a letter template we can all send to our MP would to all do it if i put it up on here for use, it will be straight forward and to the point, no statistics or the such just put our concerns. :-/

Although the price of crude oil on the world markets has caused the recent increases, the fuel duty and vat still account for about 70p of every litre. They could have reduced the vat portion and kept the prices stable, and continued to receive the same amount of revenue from a litre, but that would help UK industry and the motorist so there's no chance of that.  Vote labour.

Gas is great, but when the Government finally do cotton on the the fact they could put loads of duty on gas then what. :exclamation
i think its time do something now, if every one sent an email or letter to their MP instead of just moaning about it then something may get done, its a nation af whingers not doers, if this were france there would be hell to pay. the price of fuel is bonkers >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(.

104.9 Unleaded, 112.9 Diesel, 117.9 Super Diesel, these are local to me. I was talking to a HGV driver from Holland last week, he explained that the two tanks on his truck held 700 litres each ie 1400 litres, diesel in Holland is one Euro per litre - £0.75 x 1400 = £1,050 to fill up, the same in the UK £1,581 thats £531 cheaper. His boss said that if he has to buy fuel in the UK he pays the difference !
We are just mugs to stand for these high prices.

I filled up at 103.9. It was a Shell garage, which beat all the other garages locally. Even Tesco, Morrissons and Asda couldn't compete.

At half 11 at night in Gosport/Fareham I wish I'd had a choice.  :( The only place that was open was Fareham near the Bird in Hand but they were lacking in fuel of all types!  :-?  :y  :y

I think the problem now is the price of petrol breached the magic £1.00 a litre mark and no one complained like they did a few years back. Petrol hovered below the £1.00 a litre for ages because nobody was brave enough to want to start a riot now its happened and all is quite look how quick prices are rising. The skys the limit :'(
