I'm thinking here of the reach factor.
-
Used to use my steps when we had the 4x4

Petrol? :)

Jet wash with decking attachment and step?
-
Put it on its side! :)
-
ask Jeremy Clarkson ::) ;D ;D ;D

I just use my combination ladder to get up to the top, then I have a telescopic handled foam squeegee thing. Works a treat :y
Washed with Triple wax or Zipwax :y

-
I mix in little MER polish with the detergent when I wash my 'van. Seems to be effective :y :y
-
Steps a bucket and a soft headed broom
-
Put small boy to work (ie. son/grandson!!) with strict instructions not to fall off!! :y
-
you will need a ladder or a temporary bridge (u shaped) made from wooden beams.. in either case not easy.. and you will need a polisher as the area is too big..
-
Jet wash with decking attachment and step?
Not a good idea to jet wash a caravan because of the seals.
I have a platform ladder I use at the moment, and wrap a cloth around the head of a very soft broom, and apply the polish to the duster.
Polish off using the same method, with a clean duster, but it's bloody hard work.
I just wondered if anyone had any better suggestions.

What about some of the GRP restoring products they use in the marine sector?

Science Abuse on the telly has a good set of ideas ;D ;D
Seriously though, long arms, a high platform and loads of elbow grease. Once the roof gets sun damage it is virtually impossble to get back to its shiny state. If you do manage to get the shine back give it a good few coats of polyurethane yaght varnish and your worries should be over.
;)

My act is
Will have to remove winter cover(cheap version from Towsure)very good used them for the past 4yrs
Pair of old fashioned ellivateing trestles+pair of rigid planks+telescopic handled wash brush
1st wash with Fenwicks caravan cleaner
Rinse very well & allow to dry
Then wash with double strength Auto glym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner
Give a soft light rinse
Wind up jockey wheel to tilt roof to assist water drain from roof depressions
Look around and use 2 Finger Signal to anti caravan observers ;D ;D ;D

How does the saying go, you can't polish a turd ::) ;D
-
Not sure about the seals and pressure washer issue.....at the end of the day there exposed to 55+mph wind and rain.....and if into a head wind it could be 80+mph.....so if they can withstand that then a pressure washer at 300mm distance wont be an issue.
-
has anyone suggested C4 yet??? ;D

Front and back, not a problem, mainly on the sides and around the door.
