Title: noise from rear

hi one again can anyone help ??.
when im driving on a smooth surface very quiet,once i hit a rugged or bumpy surface i get a knocking noise from rear ,ive resently replaced rear shocks, they are not air ones, just normal.
they have been re-tighend so no play there .its not my exhaust, nor wheel bearings, dont know if its a bush everything feels tight and just gone thro m.o.t. is there something ive missed thanks again ree.
p.s know she an old girl on a v 1999, apart from that perfect ride .....

hi thanks for your reply i did look at those cant feel any play there but may re-new them to rule out those being the problem many thanks ree..

its only thing I can think of mate get a bar and give it them a pry-then you will see/feel free play mate. that was cause on my saloon anyway. :y

What state are the rear diff bushes like.

just found out noise is from a front top mount bearing  :-[
