Driving past clackett services earlier and a litre of unleaded was
£1.45.9 !!!
Anyone know anywhere more expensive ??
-
Kent honestly seems to be one of the highest for fuel prices, even Canterbury is quite expensive now albeit cheaper than here by a considerable amount.

I noticed that on Monday when I was driving around Kent to do a couple of Fuel Drains ::)
I think the Kent area could be quite a profitable one, judging on the number of jobs I've done & turned down in that area :-\

I was a bit horrified to pay nearly 40 quid to fill the Westfield the other day. :o
It only has a 27 litre tank although it does need Super unleaded. Last time it was in regular use (going back 18 months or so) it was impossible to get 30 quid's worth in. :(
It can't go on like this. :-\

You're right Kevin, but I don't see how it'll get any better.
Paid £139.9 this morning, which is a little bit more than usual :'(
-
I can't see them ever reducing the amount of tax on it >:(
At best it could be frozen where it is, but would take months to sort something like that :(

For those of us that are that old, that really brings it home.
For what it's worth to locals, Asda by Dartford Bridge/Bluewater in Kent seems to be the cheapest anywhere....and I do travel around a bit....133.9 the other night

I use the waitrose near me, as it's near(!), but mainly as it's always a penny cheaper than everyone else.
However, still 3p up on that asda!

That is probably the most expensive in the country at the moment, Unless you know different! :-\

£1.39.9 for unleaded would be cheap in Ashford, there isn't one garage including supermarkets which is under £1.40 at the minute.
-
Tesco - 132.9
Morrisons - 135.9
I only paid 120.9 per litre at Morrisons. SWMBO had a 15p per litre of voucher.
I will be using the 10p per litre voucher from Tesco after filling the BMW, tomorrow.
-
I went and filled my bike up today. The pump clicked of at £20,and I could probably have squeezed another couple of quid in if I tried.
Also, went and filled the car with LPG today and was informed it will be the last time as the garage is closing down in a couple of days. The only other place which sells it and isnt miles out of my way has a pump which is very often out of order. :'(
-
Morrisons: £1.37.9 at the mo >:(

While US, UK and European Governments pump £$€bns into banks it has to be speculated somewhere to make
bonuses a profit and we all need food and energy. >:( >:( >:(
Government moving from pricing in gallons to litres was a stroke of genius to get us to accept Major's fuel tax escalator. Fuel is now over 30% more expensive in real terms than in 2000. >:( >:( >:(
In 1973 when I had my first motorbike, we were in the middle of a Middle Eastern crisis (Yom Kippur war) and the price had just jumped from 37p to 50p a gallon (8.11p to 10.96p a litre), so in 36 years it has gone up almost 17x with no sign of this slowing down. :o :o :o

Granted its dated 1st feb 2012, bet you would be hard pressed to exceed current price in the Western islands of Scotland.
And thats including the supposed 5ppl discount....

Indeed, as Highlander says, the News last week was Saying on some Scottish Isles, the average price was £1.75
We have these pyscological price points, a few years ago, it was paying £1 per litre, now we have been happily paying £1.30 a litre, its time to up it to £1.50, which I'm sure it will be within a few weeks. I'd expect it to stabilise around there for a while, before the next hike.
-
yep - its over £1.50 at my local place, too !
-
Its £135.9 around here
-
£1.409 at both stations in my town...
-
Gone up today AGAIN. £1.38.9 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Suspect we'll be finding it normal to pay £1.50 by Easter...
-
I filled up yesterday for 119.9 :y bonus
-
i was surprised when i went to fill with gas on saturday, place i go to normally put 13p on a ltr, from 70p to 83ppl, never got my money, went to one on way home instead that i had avoided as his was 72ppl
-
€ 1.62 ( £1.36p ) over here which is quite interesting as petrol used to be around 15% to 20% cheaper than UK .
I do suspect that the blaggards in government over here have decided to raise the tax to UK standards ( along with every other tax revenue stream too ..... >:( )
It just seems to creep up almost daily ,and that's before we bomb Iran.
-
143.9 on the A31 near Bere Regis (Dorset) today :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
Local LPG went up 3p on Friday, and another 2p today. Now 79.9p here. Unleaded £1.409 and diesel £1.479
