Changed Auto box fluid and filter today. Removed both sumps on Thursday got in a right mess , fluid mostly went into drain tray, but quite a bit went astray. Did not realise that another litre or so comes out when you take the filter off. Also put sumps back on with just a couple of bolts and left it until this morning to drain fully. Found another litre and half had drained into main sump.
I must thank whoever it was on here :y :y who suggested using a funnel and length of hose down from the engine bay into side of box to re-fill.When I topped it up last summer, it took me about an hour to get half a litre in. This way I got 7 litres in, in about 10 mins and did not spill any at all. Put 4 litres in then started engine to add rest. Removed hose and about quarter litre came out to meet correct level.
Been for quick spin & transmission seems so much smoother.
GOOD JOB DONE ---- Cheers Guys :y :y :y
