Title: 267degrees west (astronomy)
Post by: feeutfo on 12 March 2012, 20:08:10
...at about 30 degrees elevation, between Andromeda and Triangulum on the sky view app, are two very bright lights. I hope they are stars, but if they are I've never noticed them before.

Or have I not been paying attention?

These are the only lights in the sky currently, but then the light pollution(if you believe in that sort of thing) here is high, so can't see any other stars ATM.

Any Astronemers on here know what they are? ...have we got to send Bruce Willis up in the space shuttle to blow em up again ;D

Oh ok, the app did show Venus and Satern in that position, but didn't think they would be visible to the eye. They're not normally so obvious.

Not the end of the world just yet then. :)

Actually, the app shows them slightly to the left, but it's only on an iPhone. The compass is aloud to be a little off I suppose.

Esty, are you causing trouble again? ;D
