Why do Omega batteries where puffa jackets ???
Keep em warm in colder weather of course ;)

To try and keep the temperature more constant.

Ever noticed battery's mostly suffer in winter, and Halfords and dealers start doing winter specials on battery's as well as de icer, screen wash etc?
Battery's hate the cold. Sumat to do with the chemical process that allows them to store electric.

Aye I appreciate that the cold drags a battery down and if it's a dying battery it will kill it off but I don't know of any other manufacturer who does this. I don't think even VX do it anymore. I mean if they were handing out puffer jackets were they also giving out thermal skivvies?

Mine seems to have lost it's jacket...
Of course that might explain why the status glass on the battery has gone black.
