Hey.
Thought I'd post my thread on how to insert a 95 '2.5 td engine in a 96' 2.5 V6. Both manual gearbox.
The faithful v6 started getting tired. (blown head gasket) and my patience to gasoline consumption ended.
So I decided to go over to Sweden and buy a parts car with diesel engine.
So here are some pictures during conversion.
This is the parts car i got in sweden.

Motor brackets to the V6 is not the same as the R6
So then I thought to use the traverse from the party car.
But it was so rusty that I cut the engine mounts to the R6 and welded on the V6 traverse :)
A little extra work. but I am more satisfied afterwards.
This is the unwashed v6 traverse.

Nice and clean traverse with motor mounts very soon to be welded. You can see where the old mounts have been :)

The diesel engine has "drive by wire" throttle.
so when I cut up the wiring on the part car. so I got the plug from the electronic accelerator pedal. (5 wires)
that leaves us only 4 wires that I'm not quite sure where to yet.
I have not seen so much on it yet either then: P
The "new" throttle pedal assembly is installed and ready.

The plan to day is get the engine installed :)
To be continued ...

Oh that's what you meant.
Not sure that's the problem.
But the cooling water disappeared and the car went on 5 cylinders when acceleration.
Maybe I'm wrong.
But I also had to replace timing belt if I should keep it.
And I've had problems with a slight knocking sound (between 2500-3000rpm) and the lack of effect, which comes and goes.
I must admit that I was tired of this engine.
With gasoline at 1.75 GBP per liter is 2.5 v6 particularly economical to run with.
Also, I really want a diesel (1.42 GBP per liter);)
With BSR chip about 170 hp;)

Besides having fun with some new challenge ;)

Will the engine be able for the chip as I am thinking of doing mine??

There should be no problems with chip tuning :)

Hello!
Now the summer is over.
and it is time to start the tractor;)
I did not find out how the damn fuel pump must be connected ..
So now I replace the electric pump to mechanical pump from a BMW 524 td :)
I'll be back with pictures later :)
