Check for fault codes with the paperclip test.

No EMLIGHT on

No EML doesn't always mean lack of codes  ;) ;) ;)

Converting your mpg in litres i got 19l/100km....for v6. My is 4pot and I had consumption of 17/18 litres for one week when doing mainly kindergarden/doctor/shoping/town drive.
32mpg on motorway though

I've not really done any hard evidence with mine yet. My driving is currently best described as extreme to moderate as I get to know the new Mig. I doubt very much mine is doing the 26 mpg average the trip computer is saying but it must be more than what your showing right now. The tank would be dry by now if it was.

I don't really know but driving in 1st, 2nd and 3rd constantly draging almost two tones omega body isn't ideal for fuel consumption IMO

Does it warm up quickly to the mid point on the temperature gauge? (should be 2 or 3 miles from a cold start).

If it is really only doing town driving, and the trips are short, that might be reasonable consumption. We all drive on different roads and have different driving styles, so it's difficult to be sure.

My 2.6 MV6 gives about 5 or 6 less MPG than it used to. I'm minded to think that the thermostat is donald. The gauge never leaves it's stop .......unless it is ticking over on the drive for twenty minutes or so..... :-\

Why make the bastard thing so inaccessible to the novice mechanic, such as myself. :(

Surely things like age and type of driving are factors that affect MPG doing short little journeys are also factors that contribute to poor performance.

Achieved my personal record after 70km on motorway and maybe 10km town driving

130/140 km/h on motorway but easy riding....which I usually don't practice  8)
