Title: alloy wheel refurb
Post by: OMEGA VXR on 29 March 2008, 12:36:21
Does anybody know a good alloy wheel refurber in Leicester?

My friend offered to take my alloy wheel to get a puncture repaired, he took it to bloody kwik fit of all places!
Now they have damaged it the chrome rim and the spokes  >:( >:( !To  cut a long story short........ I seen the manager at kwik fit this morning showed him the damage he said
"We don't touch after market alloys" fair enough, but one of his numpties did 'touch it' after an hour of complaining he gave me £80 for the cost of a refurb, RESULT

i'm told there are no places in britain that actually "rechrome" damaged alloys because the process is too polluting

A good tyre co. will have a plastic insert to go round the rim so the machine does'nt knacker your wheels. :o
