Title: Alternatives to Vx parts
Post by: Mr Singh on 20 March 2012, 19:32:49
Hi everyone,

I have been advised that my omega estates lower wishbones and track rod ends need replacing.

I have enquired at main dealer and have been quoted some very high prices.

Can anyone advise on alternative replacement brands which are cheaper but still excellent quality.

Thanks in advance

I would get the cheapest wishbones off Ebay (approx £50) the replace the front bushes with poly bushes (approx £40) and the rear bushes with genuine Vauxhall ones (approx £30) they will out last the Lemforder ones and work out cheaper :y

Good idea Pete ... IF you have access to the press/drifts that you'll need to press them in .... I think its a 10 tonne press needed ???  :(

Lemforder via allgermanparts. Cheaper and more reliable source the ecp.Unless you have the resources to swap bushes out of course.

Or Febi seem reasonable for track rod ends.
