Hi, I'm going to replace leveling motors in an hour now, but there is a problem.
Lights level is now adjusted manualy (motors dissconected, "threded sprocket" inside the box turned by hand), when replacing box with motor, will light beam fall down to the lowest point or will it stay up? I don't really know what it looks like inside but will soon see...
Thanks

...and how can I take out existing leveling motor?

Should I pull it out, rotate or do I need to disassemble headlight?

One done, one more to go

Guess who's got no "CHECK" written on mid.... 8) :y
-
I was happy too soon, same message ass before appears on mid just after I move the car - after braking to stop, when car bounces. Could this be faulty sensor?
-
Left hand front wheel. Remove and the sensor will be obvious on the rear edge of the lower arm :y
Ok you don't need to remove the wheel, full right lock would do it, but with the wheel off all is clearer :y.
If the arm that connects the suspension to the sensor is disconnected then that's the problem, if arm is connected then it's probably the sensor :-\, same st up on the lefthand trailing arm on the rear suspension, but if an issue at braking, then more likely the front one :y.

Thanks Al, will take a look tomorrow morning but as far as I know myself it's probably broken - my usual luck...
:P Thanks again

Usualy arm pops off sensor - refit arm and if really loose tie wrap it on :y

Ok, thanks

Update
sensor arm popped off, reatached and mid warning went straight off.
I have to ask one question now, when turning the light switch on, should beam travel up and down to level itself then? This should be visible if car is park near garage door right ? :-\
AFAIK both light beams on my omega are sitting still...

Just crossed my mind, can I test hid leveling? By moving sensor arm a bit maybe?
