Title: Beautiful Spring Weekend, what are you doing?
Post by: Rods2 on 23 March 2012, 15:24:11
Exceptionally good hot spring weather, so what are you doing this weekend.  :y :y

I intend to do some gardening done, including first cut of the grass, will probably have a BBQ, get on with house DIY and finally get some work done, where things are beginning to look up a bit, I have several quotes to do.  :y :y

While keeping my eye on the girls sorting out a new pecking order after introducing three new chickens to the existing three today.
It can get very brutal ;)

Today was the third cut of the grass this year and pricked out 1200 odd seedlings .. just 200 odd to do tomorrow and that job complete :)

Worst part today was picking cat S**T out of the borders .. bloody things ... my garden must be on the cats "best toilet" list ... 2 carrier bags full today :(

If I had a silencer for the airgun .......

although I have heard that antifreeze is not good for cats .. does that apply to VX red ?? If so I'll stick some out for them for free

:(

At the tin tent, 25 foot from the sea, currently on the happy side of dinner and a large dram. Long lie in the morning, egg and bacon brekkie then walking the Fife Coastal Path from East Neuk to St Andrews with the hound whilst mrs H21 visits her mum.

Hope the weather holds - looking good so far, so fingers crossed.  :y

Im looking forward to BSB myself this year. Nori Haga will be riding in the series,so there could be fireworks. He seemed to have really lost his spark the last couple of seasons in WSB but up until then, was one of the most exciting and commited riders ever to throw a leg over a bike.Hopefully the change will reignite his passion and we will be in for a real treat. :y
WSB is now like MotoGP retirees championship imo. Its dying on its arse, the glory years are long gone.
MotoGP is also introducing a seperate class for bikes not a million miles away from WSB type machines,so that might hammer another nail in its coffin. It also demonstrates how desperate things have become in MotoGP that they need to do this in order to get more than a dozen bikes lined up on the grid.
It can only serve to further dilute the prestige of the series imo,and apparently some of the top riders  have said the speed differential between the full spec works bikes and these new slower bikes is downright dangerous. Could be interesting times ahead.
Testing suggests that the Honda is in a class of its own again (and mumblings in the paddock of a F1/Ferrari style, blind eye being turned by scrutineers),and as Stoner is in a different class to the other Honda riders, he might just walk away with it again this year.
Still looks like Rossi has made a momentous mistake by moving to Ducati. Its make or break this year,if it doesnt work out he will either have to retire,or swallow his pride and go back to Honda just to prove he can beat Stoner on equal machinery imo.

As for this weekend - working as usual. In between shifts resting, hoping to recover some energy after the week from hell due to a serious allergic reaction - probably due to peanuts, which I had a half a packet of, for the first time in about 20 years. ::)

Ive just cut mine for the first time this year.....my mower also started first pull......however as i always ignore the advice on the mower to give it 3 priming squirts.....and usually give 7 or 8 (it starts easier that way) a huge cloud of white smoke went wafting into the neighbours gardens when it first caught  ::) ;D ;D
