Yes i wouldnt recommend doing that without axle stands and of course impossible at the road side with a flimsy jack  8)

Loosen bolts just a little, then let car down abruptly - works if you have a trolley jack. The weight of the car should loosen it up

Had this when I first bought my Elite - used large lump of wood (4"x4") and a sledge hammer.  Worked for me  :y

Clean the wheel and hub up and copperslip before refitting wheel - you'll have no more problems with removing wheels ;)

Its a problem with alloy wheels. Always lightly grease before fitting.

On TBE, I tried everything, and ended up undoing all bolts one side, lowering it back down, and flooring the throttle.  Very dangerous, as the wheel can fall off.

I've had to do the same thing to remove an alloy from a car. Dangerous? Depends how fast you go. I did it on my 25' long drive so as you can tell, I wasn't exactly speeding when I jumped on the brake. It worked though.  :y :y

Use a bock of wood in the inside of the wheel rim and hit with a large club hammer, it will come off just be careful to hit the block of wood not your hand or rim.
Use a wire brush or a circular wire brush in a drill and clean all the hub surfaces and coat with a liberal amount of cooper grease before re fitting.

I nearly broke my foot trying to get a wheel off a car, only to find gayboygixer hadn't undone all the bolts  >:(

Still, makes a change from him forgetting to do them up afterwards  >:(

Or is he just trying to kill me?  Like the time I was generous enough to let him borrow my wheels/tyres at a meet, only for him to refit them the wrong way round :o

;D ;D

Soft faced hammer and hit the inner edge of the rim. Rotate and repeat :y

(same as using a block of wood but easier!)
