It's a modest little car in comparison to some i've had, my main love being 50's/60's rockabilly style Fords & Vauxhalls. Lately the classic car market has shot up in price. It does every now & again & in a year or two will level off again. Being a tight so & so i refuse to fuel such prices but can't last long without an old motor to play with & attend shows/meets etc so was looking for something cheap to ride the market out. I won this on abay for £708. MOT til november & tax till april..(not excempt as it's a 1974 but still in the cheap bracket). I drove it 150 miles home from Towcester...Hi Jamie..close & another 50 odd miles today & still got over half a tank. 3 previous family owners, books/manuals & pictured in the boot are new fan belt, front discs/pads, coil, dizzy cap, points & a few more bits i can't remember & she's never been welded. Everything works. It's always been serviced. Lodger Steve followed me home in my Passat & said he did'nt see a single puff of smoke...only doing 60mph the Passat averaged just over 40 mpg when we got home. Not bad for a 2 litre petrol!
Here's a few piccies taken this afternoon.

I erm, don't know if you've noticed .. but it's brown :o I thought only BL branded cars came in brown in the 70s ;)
Not my favourite Triumph (that would be the Spitfire) but looks like a nice one.
My, how interiors have progressed, eh!

Ah yes, the tinkling sound of the big ends, if you hit the red line...... :D :D
Nice looking car Guy, I like the small Triumphs, very comfy iirc, are you setting up a business in classic cars these day's, or won the lottery?..... :D :D
-
Ah this spartan interior...you need just Elvis's hair wear or do you have already? :D
-
A good start to Classic car ownership :y I will look out for you on the Classic circuit ::)

Haha. Very nostalgic.
I love all the information overload on the dash. ;)
Wouldn't want to ruin the nice wood.

I love Triumphs, nice find Guy :y

I always found that model very heavy on the steering.
Still liked them though :y

Magnificent in it's brownness :y

My Mrs had one back in the late 80's it was grey iirc and I loved shoving it about but she hated it, said the steering was too heavy ::) (this was in the days before 3 Weetabix!) ;D

Great little motor.
Couldn't help thinking that from picture 4, it looks like you feel so passionate about the car you want to keep it in the house, hence trying to get it in through the front door. ;)

Thanks all. Mr. Moffat this is by no means my first classic although the Toledo would be a good starter for somone new to the game. Loving the Gaffer avatar in his P6 with a rear seat full of parking tickets. RIP Bill Maynard...a legend. Where in Lincs. are you?
Heavy steering? Your granny could park this one!!!!! 8)

If my house was big enough i would. I used to keep my Suzuki Bandit...only the 600 where i'm sat at the PC now, rode it through the kitchen!!! :y

I'll have to check that B. I know the bottom half has been painted as the paint match aint too clever & there's some bubbling around the headlights plus a little crazing here & there but she is straight, so easy to drive & bags of character.
Started first time this morning in the frost & demisted like a modern car!!! Guess you only get so much for £700!!!
