Interesting, Nick. Farage is too shouty and "in yer face" for me..........but maybe, just maybe, he has a point.

Opti, I take your point, but I'd rather someone told me the truth in "shouty and in yer face" manner than lies in a quiet and smooth way.  ;)

I know you and I differ in our political visions, but we live in a democracy and it is up to us, at both local and national levels, to make our voice heard through our representatives in order that they may formulate policy according to our wishes. Once our power is usurped, by dint of the fact that our representatives are powerless to alter policy, then we are on the road to a form of totalitarianism - which, I suspect no true democrat of left or right would want. I think, therefore, that whatever one's political persuasion, it is necessary in the short term at least to regain our democracy. We can then go back to arguing about our visions for this country.

Vote UKIP!  :y

Thanks for posting that.
The one good thing to come out of all this is those of us who oppose immigration are not now seen as racist trash, just people worried about what the future may bring.
I'm going to cross post a topic here, hope it's ok. Made my blood boil.
