I should say ( android & iPhone app ::) ;D ) Just saying it would be great and well handy when on the move as the Internet Mobile phone browser version ain't that great unfortunately. At the moment Its just forever pinching and zooming on my phones 3.5" screen >:( ... Any plans to make an app for both mobile phone platforms ?
( oh and yea I wrote this on my iPhone ;D :y :y )

and what about windows phone users and those on blackberrys or symbian.
I believe it was looked at but decided it was too much work involved to cover the relevant platforms.
although I have no problems browsing on my mobile
-
tapatalk would fit the bill.....but I wouldnt expect it anytime soon.

I use a gayphone and find it fine. turn to landscape, double click the column with all the text in, job's a goodun :y Although replying can be fiddly sometimes ::)
In fact, I've used TapaTalk on another Forum I visit and actually prefer the standard web version ::)

Nope, not officially.
TBH, most up to date mobile browsers deal with it quite well anyway. I speak as a gayPhone 3GS user, ex-Windows 6 user...

Yeah see, if a mobile web browser needs an app for a web site, then the mobile browser has failed IMO. The whole point of browsing on a mobile device means the mobile web browser needs to be a ble to cope with presenting normal web pages on a small screen.
The text is rediculously small on most web sites on the iPhone. Landscape helps, but even so. Even Symbian of old had an option to increase text size in browser settings.
The iPhone has an increase text size option, but for the the phone os. Doesn't affect web pages.

browsing OOF with mobile is ok.. sometimes replies with long quotes or browsing and scrolling big pictures becomes tricky .. (mobile samsung 8500)
-
It was just a thought :y
-
Whats wrong with using the OOF mobile version on the bottom of the Screen 'Wap2' for quick viewing.
-
You know wha,t that's a very good point. Forgot all about it. ;D

Thats the whole idea of wap sites Im afraid, minimum bandwidth use, most use simple graphics or text only.
Not sure about your iPhone but try playing with the Browsers Page settings, might be able to load the HTML set up to display differently.

WAP.
Ohh. :( That's reminded me of a period in my life I'd rather have remained forgotten. ;)
-
WAP was CRAP.
Most mobile browsers do a decent job of rendering the forum, I would find an iPhone App pointless :-\

I remember when it was the 'next big thing' and we had to look into re-writing all our online booking applications to include WAP deliverables.. ahh, those were the days.
Whatever happened to WAP? ;)

Just looked at the WAP version of the forum. Yuk!
Might come in handy if I'm ever possessed to access the forum using a BBC micro, I suppose. ;D
