Stock up on fuel so all the pikeys will know you have petrol and diesel in the shed and the rate of break ins will go up.

Maximum you can store at home legally without contacting the Petroleum Licencing Authority is 2 x 10l metal cans and 2 x 5l plastic cans, which mush all be of an approved design. 6.5 gallons is going to last very long with a V6 miggy.

Government don't want to be held over a barrel (no pun intended), by striking drivers, but they are creating a potentially dangerous situation by suggesting storing large quantities.

Tanker drivers days are numbered as they won't be needed with electric cars, which with improved battery technology, allowing flash charging on the horizon are only a few years from beginning to be mass market.

Government is already ramping up the tax on electricity with their carbon tax, which at £70 per ton in 2030, it is expected to cost the average household at least £500 per year.  >:( >:( >:(

200 and 300 tdi's don't mind the chip oil but the Td5 doesn't like it at all.

Its a clanky 300 commercial that still gives 30 mpg whether you kick its ribs or do a miss daisy, so do-able....   ;D

Having filled metal jerry cans for track days and the like, from personal experience it's never wise to fully fill the pop off lid metal "army" style cans.

The fuel expands, and when opening fuel bursts out all over the place if the level is near the spout.

The fuel contracts, leading to suction in the can making it a real barstuard to pop the lid off, leading to possible accidents and spillage.

All due to temp variations and unviable to have breathers on the can itself. They are a bit of a nuisance tbh.

I can see where this is going ::)

Thanks to this Muppet advice from the Government, a lot of people are going to fill their fuel tanks up to the max, and then wonder why their fuel tanks have been damaged by criminals steeling their fuel.

This will then lead to more insurance claims, which leads to insurance premiums going up (yet again!) because of more payouts, which will lead to insurance companies complaining claims have gone up which means more administration needed to cope, which leads to putting up of the premiums to help defend the payments being paid, which will lead to the government making a statement that national cost are being effected, which leads to even more taxes to cover all that has happened in between them giving the advise in the first place...

It's going to end in tears and WE'RE GOING TO GET SCREWED... again... by the same people whom gave the advise in the first place ???
