Should be getting at least 200 out of 40 quid, round town the 2.2 is pretty crap though much better on the motorway. I've just averaged 29mpg over the last 4k miles with a mixture of town and motorway. HTH :y
-
2.2 is pretty crazy whent it comes to fuel consumption.
My last one was doing 14 to 15 litres in town driving for 100km.
On opend road I was getting 7 to 7.5 litres per 100 km.
If I was extra carefull it could go even slightly bellow 7 (6.6 was my best result on a longer trip but it was like driving miss Daisy).
But in town no matter how careful I was it wouldnt go bellow 14.
That is the price for all that weight.
-
only been doing round town runs stopping and starting £30 in tank and done done 126mile and just above the red line.
-
ime you should be getting around 27mpg urban and 35 mpg on a steady motorway run. I was getting high 20's on average with a 12 mile each way commute on B roads and running around town for work. Not tested but our 2.6 on a different run may well be better on fuel than the 2.0L on the same run.
I spend much the same amount in fuel in the Jeep as I did in the 2.2 in the same conditions......it has taken me a long time to accept that the V6 is better than the 4 pot, except for maintenance costs..... :D :D
-
My 2.2 auto estate 18mpg around town up to 35 mpg on a decent run not going above 70 mph, the 2.6 manual 19 mpg around town up to 33mpg on a run ,I do a round trip of 54 miles a day on very good A roads in the 2.6 & always get around 28-30 mpg.
-
When i had it i used to get 20mpg from my 2.2 auto around town

Yeah, those 2 extra spark plugs at every service..... ;)
-
my 3.2 estate auto says average 24.8mpg ...but a couple of weeks ago i reset it for a motorway run and sat at 70 mph or thereabouts and after 70 mile trip it had managed 32.5 mpg
-
To the OP is it an auto or manual if the latter then that is really shocking! And Vamps wash out your mouth ;D ;D ;D
-
hmm, think I must be doing something wrong, 27mpg in and out of London, 3.2 Manual and that's on Gas

Just had a quick go on t' calculator. Assuming you fill at the red light then you've used about 60 litres which roughly works out to 45.5 Mpg... good figures fella :y

when driving i listen to the autobox doing the changes with mt light foot on pedal......
it changes into top gear at around 45mph ..does that sound about right ...................

No idea but there is a gearbox software upgrade available that seems to help no end. Some of the chaps on here can sort you out there.
