Post by: Cookies Omega on 30 March 2012, 18:52:57
Hi guys,

My back box exhaust system is in need of being changed. I thought i would treat myself to a new system that would improve the performance of my measely 2.2 and it a give a nice grunt. Any recommendations guys.

Eternal car. Just ordered.
GM. Over priced poor quality IMO.
Jetex (stainless off the shelf) no personal experience
Power flow/long life. Hand made one off stainless. The ones I have seen have been a complete bodge, overly loud and the car feels under powered. Very expensive for what they are IMO.

Above relates to a v engine. Presume availability for 4 pot...?

Bought this one 3yrs ago now & still looks like it went on yesterday! Takes around 5 days to arrive & is very good quality, made by Krupp-Thyssen in Germany. :y

Only 'downside' is the tailpipe is about 100mm short of clearing the Facelifts rear bumper, so an aftermarket tailpipe extender is needed like this one:-

After the 'off the shelf' Jetex my little bro had for his AX GT, I'd never even consider their crap. Ever.

Its the old chav thing, "I read it in Max-Power, so it must be the nuts, innit", much like the crap that Courtney Sport offer.

I agree on the Powerflow, the ones I've seen are bodged on, rather than them fabricating the correct cat brackets, and are droney loud, which I find quite tiring on runs...   ...maybe is I were still 18...   //TB daydreams for a mo
