I don't know about the funniest, but i know my luckiest.

I was working on a pitched roof ( about half way up ) when i lost my footing, fell straight between 2 roof trusses into the loft and straight between 2 joists into a bedroom landing on my feet although i ended up on my backside. I got up, dusted myself down, walked downstairs , had a quick cuppa and went straight back up the ladders onto the roof again, with only a few scratches up the backs of my arms to show for it. Not planning on repeating it again though ::)

about 7 years ago i was walking through the dining room en route to the bathroom at 3 am,didnt bother switching on the light, someone (who has never owned up)had left one of the chairs a couple of feet out from the dining table and i tripped over it,flew through the air, headbutted the wall, knocked myself out cold then fell to the floor and banged the left side of my chin ,the force of which snapped my jawbone clean through just below my right earlobe.had to have upper and lower jaw wired tightly shut for quiet some time until i eventually couldnt face another high protien milkshake so i got my little nippers out of the toolbox and cut all the wire off.

I spent new years eve at a friends pub, it was early and I was helping behind the bar (hadn't drank a drop, no REALLY!).

To get from one bar to the other there were two very steep steps and a low ceiling, I slipped on the top step and cracked my hand on the till as I fell bumping my head on the bar on the way down.  :-[

I got up and rubbed my head at which point I noticed the ring finger on my right hand was at right angles to what it should have been.....I had dislocated it! :o :o

Anyway, having thought it through I decided that if I went to casualty I would end up wasting 5 hours of my life to have a few Xrays taken and then have it put back.  8-)

So I straightened it myself and got on the drink.

Needless to say its quite clear now that I did a bit more than dislocate it given the restricted movement I have and the lump on the side of the joint  ;D

But, I didn't miss any of new years eve  :y :y

Is most likely scar tissue, can be removed surgically under local and next time if you put the joint back yourself get advice from a physio who can give you some exercises which will prevent such lumps and problems in the future.
