Please help. I've just installed a full leather interior from a 2000 elite into my 2000 CDX. I took a feed from the thicker red wire into the seat multiplug and also from a live thicker red wire along the sill to make up the 2 extra lives needed. The earth was joined from the brown wire in the seat multiplug. Since doing this none of my gauges are reading, my battery light flickers and my computer isnt doing anything either. I also swapped my standard speakers for Bose ones (just the speakers, no amp etc) please help :(

what were the wires you done for? if you unplug it all dose the gaugs work and battery light stop flickering?
-
The red and brown were just to the seat for the original CDX up/down motor. The thicker red wire along the sill was a permanent live and don't know where it goes. Ive undone the spade connector ive put on to join to the seat wiring but stil nothing.

Oh FFS. Why do I complicate things for myself. What's the best way to join the 2 other red wires to the single feed wire?
I used a scotchlok on the red wire on the sill, could this still be affecting my dials even though I've disconnected the other end where it attaches to the seat?
-
Start again and just bridge the wires that are in the pic then re-fit the seat
-
And don't use scotchloks!!
-
Should add, on early cars, the wire colour varies to that shown in pics, but their location in the plugs doesn't.
-
Other than scotchloks what's the best way to bridge the wires?
-
And take the BOSE speakers back out - not compatable !
::)

Other than scotchloks what's the best way to bridge the wires?
Solder :y then wrap with insulation tape or better still, heatshrink tube :y

Thanks for the advice. I have now redone the seat wiring as advised. I also discovered the gauges weren't working due to no. 15 fuse. When I put the drivers heated seat on it seems to go :( cold bum for me then
