Unusual for both cam & crank to fail, the replacement cam sensor will more than likely sort the 1555 code.
-
been advised on here to change both as they sort of talk to each other..thought that sounded about right..ive deleted the codes and gonna see what comes back

I would change the cam sensor first, unusual for the crank sensor to fail on a 2.2.
-
ok i will do cam sensor first...after clearing codes all out, just the cam sensor one has come back..so will start with cam :y
-
wow.................................... just gave main dealer a ring for cam sensor 90520850 £88.80 i was not expecting that

I got one from him about a year ago. £70.82 inc. VAT and postage.
(That was after I had spent about £40 on a copy which didn't work).
-
well ive took the advice given on here and went main dealer. handed over my £88.80 and took hold of my new cam sensor. rushed home and
fitted it from the how to do it guide on here...then killed all the codes and now will see what happens ..
-
after fitting done 140 mile trip car and spanner light on. check for code..none in transmission it is now happy as for engine i have two
P1555 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Load Signal not Plausible with Engine Load
(00) - Not present
P0170 - Lean Exhaust
(02) - Not present
not bad considering how many i had at beginning
-
and today i done the throttle body breather..it was caked up like hell took ages . to clean and the little small hole inside was fully blocked.
not put it all back together yet cos tomo im gonna do cam cover gasket.. and the 10 little seals. and i hope then i will have no more fault codes ;D
-
sorry mate never received at this end
Andy
-
thats ok andy dont worry...you had other things to deal with...glad to hear things are on the up :y :y :y
-
well happy :)
these were my codes b4 i started
P0170 (2) lean exhaust-not present
p1555 (0) throttle position sensor (tps) load signal not plausable with engine load-not present
p0340 (4) camshaft position sensor circuit no signal-not present
p1700 (0) svs via can-not present
p0335 (8 ) crankshaft sensor incorrect signal-not present
.............transmission........
p1781 (0) unknown dtc-not present
p1625 (2) internal power control final stage low input-not present
p0727 (0) can receives error-not present
now after new cam sensor. and the throttle body and breather clean i have none
a cam gasket was done too and the 10 seals (main dealer)cos i had oil in the holes
took it on 40 mile run magic
even got smooth tickover now
so its oil and filter change tomo (main dealer)
thanks for all help and advice i got from you lot on here :y :y
