Title: Tuning
Post by: Grrrrrr on 06 April 2012, 12:03:23

It occurs to me that as the car ages the car management system might benefit from some tuning?

Anyone have any idea how much difference it would make to bung it on a rolling road and tune it? Or how much it might cost?

Anyone on here tried it? Improved mpg / power?

Cheers,

J

Depends on which engine. I've tried on my 2.2 and got nowhere. Couldn't talk to the ECU. Doesn't mean others can't though.

Might help if you included the engine?

Non DBW & TD's can be chipped.

Engine management should keep on top of it, and keep running parameters similar, assuming car is well maintained.

Doh!

See you've got a GSI Carlton there Doz. I thought the last of those had rotted out years ago. Nice motor.
