In an automatic car you have the 123 gears and D? Yes dear and? Why do you need 123? Why not just use D all the time? To which i said well you can... Ya know... Instead of..its when you.... Oh anyway whats for tea...

well so you can lock it into gear...if towing when decending a hill you wouldnt really need it change up so you can lock it into gear so you dont have to hold it on the footbrake... :y

Put it into 1 and the gearbox goes as far a 1st gear

Put it into 2 and the gearbox goes as far a 2nd gear

Put it into 3 and the gearbox goes as far a 3rd gear

Put it into D and the gearbox goes as far a 4th gear

use it like you'd select a lower gear for towing or going down a long hill to get a bit more engine braking.  :y
