Title: Calibra weird non start issue
Post by: omegod on 12 April 2012, 17:44:42
Apologies for the non omega issue but it's vaux and you are poss able to help, got the cali in for it's MOT ( passed :y) but got in it and got the dash lights on ign pos 2 but not a sausage when turning key to pos 3, no click from starter. Immobliser light goes off as it should and battery has plenty of charge. Only odd thing is after locking the car one side of the indicators stay on? Tried jump leads but it was exactly the same.

Garage was closed by this point so left the bugger there, mods please delete or move as you wish but help would be appreciated

if its a manual, put in 4th and give it a push forward. you will feel the cylinders move over a stroke then try to start it again(take it out of gear first!) otherwise try turn it over a bit off the alternator belt.
Normal an engine will stop in the same position each time you turn it off, this will see if its a starter problem itself rather than just a connection nissue etc
