Yup that works :y Nice - not entirely convinced by the rear end (the integral wing), but I do like 'vettes.

lol sideays and backwards into the crash barrier at 130mph is responsible for the way the bodywork is now!! took five years to rebuild it, no opening boot! pain!! cos the battery is in there!!
it has twin seperate exhaust systems, so loses a lot of lowdown grunt compared to high  rpm,s convinced him today we need a crossover system, but he wants twin sidepipes as it looks better or so he says!!

Have a Chevy expert in a car club I'm in. He has a workshop on Mersea Island (Colchester).

Tom is renowned for his knowledge on them. Got my 350 small block from him 16 years ago and it still runs sweet, although my coupe doesn't do much mileage these days.

interesting!!! Im pretty sure the car should have a bigger carburettor, to make full use of the engine mods, it currently runs a 750 doublepumper,
fairly certain an 850 would suit it better? maybe next time you see him you could ask for me?
cheers G

I was reading a book by Barry Rabotnik of Survival Motorsports last week - actually a book dedicated to the Ford FE engine but I guess the theory holds; his opinion was 'fit the biggest carb you think you can get away with' on the basis that it's possible to make a carb that's 'too big' work well at cruise/idle but it's not possible to make a carb that's 'too small' work at WOT.

There's a good passage on carb choice .. but sadly it's not in the Google Books preview of the book :(

When I get home I'll paraphrase it and post it up - from what I can remember though he does say Holley's 'cfm' ratings are 'optimistic'..
