While fitting a new coil pack, I noticed a vac pipe that has broken off something.
Any ideas??? I can't see anything????
It goes from here....

To..... Something at the rear of the engine???

You can see the broken end here but I can't find what it came from????
-
Rear multiram? Or HBV?
-
Directly to the left of the broken part in the pic is a white plastic piece. It may have broken off there. Although the broken bit appears black.
It is definitely part of that vacume system though. So it will feed off the brake servo pipe and those associated parts.
-
Hbv vac pipe can be seen back right. So it's not that.
-
Actually, it's broken off the servo pipe. I can just see to remains of the nipple directly above the end of the white writing on the heater hose.
-
Has anybody got a pic of what it should look like???

It's only the feed to the SAI valve. I'd bin the whole system but you do need to fix the broken off nipple on the brake servo hose as that's an air leak. Just remove the "T" piece with the broken end.
-
Ah, well of it feeds the SAI yeah don't worry. As Kev says just block the leak in the servo pipe.
Sorry, didnt think of SAI. Haven't had that on one of my omegas for years.
-
Why bin the SAI? What's the advantage?
-
No advantage, it does nothing anyway. Other than make a horrible noise on start up. Most people just unplug the electrical connector up under the bumper by the washer bottle. (iirc)
But it's more important to plug the hole in the vac pipe where that elbow came from.
