Just a quick one....
Is it worth removing the EGR and cleaning before it goes wrong or will the chemicals do more harm than good?
Thanks
Rob

Although they are supposed to be fairly reliable, I had one stick once, and freed it using Carb Cleaner.
Some people blank off the EGR completely to avoid any probs

As the saying goes if it,s not broken dont fix it. :y

Agree! They stick open when faulty so just blank it off if it starts causing trouble. Cars that do very short trips are much more likely to have problems than those that get up to full temperature regularly - I believe it's the extra soot in the exhaust from frequent cold running that causes the valve to stick.
