The button that you refere too bypasses the ultrasonic sensors inside the car but leaves the doors / boot / bonnet protected :y

.... AND THE ALARM GOES OFF OCCASIONALLY ON ITS OWN I .....
This is sometimes down to the alarm's bonnet switch being bent away from the bonnet, the bonnet heats up in the sun & lifts slightly from the switch ............. unplug it to test, if all is well it's the switch! :y :y
PS TURN YOUR CAP LOCK OFF ............... It's rude to shout! ;) ;) ;) ;)

Welcome to the forum my friend -
They are indeed a very helpfull, resourcefull and friendly bunch on here and can cope admirably with any typos and grammatical errors that may arise - many on here also do not use English as their native language either, and we manage with them also, so do not worry about your typing affliction, we can can cope with it if you can.
That said, there do seem to be two instances where people on here will get aggrieved, and that is either the use of TXT speak or the use of capital letters, so do please try to turn them off if you can.
Look forward to some good banter with you in due course.
PS - Alarm problem: Bonnet switch is No.1 culprit, followed by an ailing Powersounder as a very close second
