Feed it. Always works for ours.

This one has bit somebody already, its currently in a box and angry as hell!
-
At a pinch they will take cat food, but really should be on ferret food or fresh meat (rabbit or chicken go down well feathers/fur bones they'll eat the lot).
Never give vegetables or nuts as it can kill them.
Ferrets are carnivores Tunnie, they can't digest vegetables at all.
-
Found this via google.
Ferrets are obligate carnivores, and food passes through the digestive system of a ferret very quickly. They also lack the ability to derive nutrition from plant matter. For this reason, a ferret diet must be high in animal protein, high in fat, and low in fiber.
Looks like a good burger or raw meat would be suitable.

I'll have it. Drop it off here tonight and I will give you some beer tokens for it.

is that what they do when they feel threaten???
-
Yes hissing is a warning that they are mad/scared and want to be left alone. Next step would be to bite and clamp on, as opposed to the friendly nip you sometimes get with a playful ferret.
If they clamp on they can happily dangle by their teeth and don't want to let go.
-
Put it down a rabbit warren ::)

So would you be stuck in a box and starving ::) ;D

We found one in the garden of our last house & caught it by propping a cardboard box on a stick with raw bacon as bait & pulling the stick away when it started feeding. I expected it to dart away before being trapped but no, the little bleeder wasn't bothered in the slightest! ::) In between catching it & the RSPCA coming for it it demolished two packs of best back bacon! :D Friendly little fella & beautiful with it too :y

Two of ours.

Its been fed a scotch egg, given a drink and taken to a rescue home.
The scotch egg went down well!
-
Hope you had some bailer twine tied around the bottom of your trousers!! Wouldn't want the little bugger nipping up there for a feed!!! :o :o :o
-
It would have done a good job keeping the cats out of your garden.
