Bet you wish you'd kept the self levellers ::)

Once bought a large quantity of engineering bricks home in the boot of a 3 lit Mk1 Granada - smoke from rear tyres rubbing on wheel arches and extremely vague steering at speeds over 50mph!! - Good job it was a company car ;D ;D ;)
Found from experience company cars could not only carry bigger & heavier loads than most vans, but could also out accelerate and go faster than any other car when in reverse!!! :)

This is why I would never replace my self levellers, the very few occasions where I carry 100kgs in the boot. I also like the wallowing ride of the Elite ;D

I once helped move a load of paving slabs in a BX estate.
We nearly filled the car up with these things, and on starting the car, the suspension wouldn't rise. Hardly surprising, as it was massively overloaded.
The car's owner claimed that it wasn't a problem, and began taking some of the slabs back out whilst the engine was still running.
When the suspension did rise, he put the slabs back in, and we drove off :o

Considering the state of the self levelling shocks I would have had, was better off with brand new MV6 ones. It's low most of the time actually, really needs some new springs!
