Hi all
Just wondering if there are any common problems that might cause the above. The car is a year 2000 16v 2l ecotech auto. Car working perfectly with no problems, but just occassionally, seemingly when I take my foot off the accelerator to go around a sharp bend for instance, the engine stalls. This has also happened at a roundabout a couple of times when I have not even stopped but am coasting around it prior to reacceleration.
I have cleaned the breather tube that feeds from the top of the engine to the ducting between air meter and throttle housing. This was quite gunked up. However, the problem remains.
A collegue has suggested I try carb cleaner through the throttle housing. Can I use reddex for this or is there a lighter product I can spray in?

Will give this a go. Seems like the only consumable I need is the gasket for the IACV? Where is the best place to get this from?

Best way to get the gasket when the nearest dealer is over 30 miles away?

Best way would be to PM me your address, and I'll send you a spare that I have FOC. ;)
Second best would be to PM or phone andyc and buy one from him mail-order; but for the 50p or whatever they cost, it's probably not worth hassling him.

Hi everyone
I have cleaned the IACV and at first thought that this had cured the fault. However, the fault has started again and appears to be more prevalent, sometimes even happening at higher revs than idle.
I have done the paperclip test which revealed the following codes:
0335 Incorrect RPM Signal
1690 Telltale (Check Light) Voltage Low
0201 Injector Valve 1 Volte High
0202 Injector Valve 2 Voltage Low
0203 Injector Valve 3 Voltage High
0204 Injector Valve 4 Voltage High
Can anyone tell me if any of these are the most likely cause of the problem?
The car has a vauxhall lpg system that was fitted by Millbrook way back. Perhaps there is a glitch with this system?
I also have to admit that I have never changed the spark plugs or ht leads in the 4 years of my ownership so I have no idea how old they are.

Vauxhall, it might be a bit more expensive than a pattern part from a motor factor, but it'll have less chance of failing. :y
