Title: Haunted Sunroof went Too Far this time
Post by: Andy H on 30 April 2012, 22:42:32
Torrential rain over the weekend was partly why I didn't use the car until this morning.

Unbeknown to me the haunted sunroof must have tilted itself open sometime on the way home on Friday.

Seats weren't very wet............

I never use the thing (intentionally) so wondering whether to pull a fuse or disconnect the multiplug on the PCB.

Probably a stupid question but have you tried cleaning the disc as per the maintenance guide?

I haven't, mainly because I haven't had the time or inclination but also because experience on this forum is that it probably won't be a permanent fix.

If I get as far as taking the cover off and unplugging the multiplug there is a good chance it will stay unplugged..........................

I have just been out and swapped the pcb over so now have to wait and see if this one does the same thing . I had a look at he dsc and cant work out how it works to be honest. is it an encoder that counts pulses?
