Well done to Boris for beating the slimy newt Livingstone. :y UKIP mayor candidate did badly as they forgot to put their party name on the ballot application. :o :o :o But, UKIP did very well where they had candidates and remembered to put their party name on the ballot papers getting about 14% of the votes. :y :y :y
The DT Matt cartoon did make me laugh

Boris in his winning speech has promised to introduce driver-less underground trains and to do his best to cut council tax by 10% over the next 4 years. Real Conservative aims and policies for a change, :y :y :y take note CamMoron.

Exactly!
Couldn't have that baffoon livingstone again. Of all the people in London, how is it he ends up in that position?
Come on Boris! :y

About time. The Ruskies had those in 1980 in Leningrad. Very very efficient they were too.
Boris is a politician with a future. Cameron? numbered days. Looks like Labour will get back in in two years time. I wonder if Milliband will get pally now with Hollande?
-
If Hollende goes on a spending spree and puts France into the same position as Spain, where he looses the confidence of the markets, so their credit rating is cut further and their bond interest rates go right up, then I think that will cause grave problems for Millipede and his motley crew being elected in 2015.
All the ConDems will have to do is point at France and say if you want to follow that, vote Labour.

Glad Boris got another 4 years, he got rid of the Bendy busses and a new route master is being trailed on a route. He does what he says!

Loving the driverless trains idea. That could wipe the smile of Bob Crows face. :)

Yes. Docklands has ran for years without any problem! TFL is held to ransom by those drivers!!

Excellent idea.... lets put more people out of work and burden the state even more >:(

Greedy tinkers earn excellent money, but they constantly inflict misery on the travelling public by taking action for more money, better terms/conditions etc. They have even been given a rather great bribe just to turn up for work during the olympics. They take great pleasure in holding Londoners to ransom and dont give a toss how often they prevent people getting to work,or at least make it very difficult for them to do so.They and their treachorous union leaders are living in the 1970,s.
Deserve all they get as far as Im concerned. ;)

I like Boris even if he come across as a bit of a clown! :D He's certainly got more vision than most of the spineless no-marks in politics, take 'Boris Island' for example which seems to attract gales of derision.... :-\
Well they built an island and put an airport on it in Hong Kong, and what's more it was mostly British companies that built it, so no reason why we can't do it here!! :y
Go Boris!!! :y :y :y

I don't disagree with you on those points Albs, but what sector of work DOESN'T use their bargaining chips to get what they want? Rightly or wrongly??
