Evening all,
Ok, when I do a full yearly service on my lovely motor she'll be getting the following:
Air Filter
Pollen Filter
Fuel Filter
S. Plugs (40k miles I know but for the sake of £2o ;))
Oil change
Oil filter
Breather clean
Brake fluid change
Coolant change
All these things I've learned to do from here and I'm eternally grateful to all of you. Love you all man 8) 8) 8) 8)
NOW, enough of the homo-OOF-eroticism.....
There are two things I'm uncertain of..
1. Is this guide for ATF change ok for the AR25 box I have..... i presume so but thought i'd double check...... http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90664.0
2. There isn't a guide for a PAS fluid change. Is it easy to do? I see you can take the pulley off after aux belt removal and drain it that way... but surely there's an easier way?
Any info chaps would be wonderful and finally complete my full service jobs..... unless of course theres something i've missed ::) :D ;D
Cheers chaps.

1) Yep :y
2) Undo the return hose at the reservoir and place into a container, with engine idling steer right to left while someone else tops up, when the exiting fluid is red, job done. If you want to avoid possible "flat spots" on front tyres, raise both wheels off the ground

As ever you're a star. Cheers Robert Brogarbi :)

Ps, is this Hellfrauds stuff ok to use?

Given that there's no specification at all on the bottle, I wouldn't.. Unless it says it's DEXRON 2.
-
Dexron 2... hmmmm is this the same stuff as ATF? Although I believe it's DEXRON 3 that we use?

Nope

Nope
Dexron is the trade name for a group of technical specifications of automatic transmission fluid created by General Motors (GM)
???
I suspect you meant "No, it's not the right ATF for our cars", but..

Cheers chaps, so DEXRON 3 for transmission and DEXRON 2 for PAS. Got it :)
Just went home @ lunch and had a look at the PAS fluid resevoir. I screwed the top off (took a pair of pliers :o) and the tube on the lid (i presume is a dipstick) and there is fluid halfway up the tube. So i'm thinking i should fill this to the brim?
Also, there are two pipes coming out of the resovoir on the left hand side as you look at it. one at the top with a jubilee clip and one directly underneath it. which one is the return resevoir that i undo? and i assume that i follow the pipe down to its end location and undo it there?
Cheers chaps :y

Keeping it simple Steve :D the hose that does not connect to PAS pump is the return feed, disconnect at PAS reservoir :y......................and don`t forget to plug the outlet on the reservoir when topping up with fresh ;D ;D ;D

I tell ya, if I don't keep things simple I'll get all confused and that would suck! ;)
Ok, I think i've been a silly bear.... and all the info was in your first answer (sorry rob but i tend to read too fast and miss stuff soz)..... so by the name of it the ''return feed''.... that would suggest that the fluid goes round in a circle.... e.g. out the pas fluid resevoir and back in through the return feed? i was concerned that if i'd undone a pipe and then topped up it wud piss out... but it wont cos its the return ::)

It will if you don`t plug the spigot on the reservoir where you`ve disconnected the return ;D
-
Hahahaha no idea what a spigot is but i get the gist that it's some sort of plug ;) lol

It`s the short piece of pipe on the reservoir where you`ve removed the return hose from ::) ;D

;D ;D

I guess bears don't have taps.. ;D

HAHAHAHA Cheers lads ::) ;D
ok heres a pic of my PAS resevoir. red star appears to go in to the block and the other one is naturally going towards me standing at the front of the car. so as i'm removing the one that DOESN'T go to the pas pump i take it it's green star that i'm removing?

sorry but with all the other shit in the way due to cambelt i cant really make out where the pipes go :y
