Got down here on Tuesday after the Wycombe meet, and it was glorious...sat outside in the sun till about 7.30. :y
Not stopped raining since......just driven back from Poole ( where I saw two Miggy's) :y and the rain was torrential. The roads are flooded and visibillity a few yards, and still there are pillocks driving with no lights on >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Tipping down here aswell. 5 of us off to Majorca or Mallorca if you prefer. £2500 all inclusive and hotel is right on the beach. Suits the wife but does not really suit me.
As for a holiday in the UK, never ever again. Will stay at home rather than get bent over the desk in the UK, grubby horrible nasty places to stay, most of which I would never dream of living in, and they have the cheek to ask over £1000 a week for a shoddy caravan.
-
There's a forecast high of about 1040 making its' way over us for the weekend, so it should be better soon. :y
If holidaying in the UK, camping is the way to go. :y
-
Just had a weekend at Talybont on Usk,3 fine days but cold at night.gas space heater now working perfect.
-
Been very muggy today... Wasn't too bad driving until I hit the bottom of the M11 today, then torrential rain and flooded lanes. Aquaplaning at 35-40mph at times and a battle to get to our destination :o Here now with a nice cuppa though :y :y
-
South East Essex. . . heavy showers most of the day . . not cold though :-\ :-\ :-\

I still haven't given my grass it's first cut yet.
When I'm at work, it's dry, when I'm on my rest days, it tips it down.
Maybe next Monday then..........

Don't talk about grass.. I looked out of the bedroom window earlier to see a cat sitting in the garden. If I'd looked at ground level I don't think I'd have seen him - he'd have disappeared into the Serengeti.. ;D ;D

Sounds like you're going to need a V12 lawn mower to get through that!
Hmm. Now, that's got me thinking. ???

;D Thankfully it's only a small area of grass .. well, it'd be slightly bigger if there wasn't a pile of Jag wheels and a Jag bonnet sitting on it :-[
Looks like Steptoe's yard round the back of mine..

Drove back from aviemore yesterday and it rained non stop until just before stoke. Had a few scary aquaplaining moments too. :o
-
Surprise, Surprise the drought restrictions have now been lifted ;D ;D ;D
My garden is like a bog, can't even get to the veg plots to prepare, as for cutting the grass....... need an Air boat not a lawn mower ;D
I am sure the house has moved 5 inches nearer to the road. ;D ;D

Even if you only have a window box, you need a ride-on mower.
I don't mind rain, to the point I've been biking in shorts and T-shirt today, but I bloody hate wind. Even though the most likely part of me to get windswept is my burners...
-
I'd love a ride on .. especially one of the ones I saw in the US that steers like a dodgem (the front wheels go alll the way round for a '0' turning circle) :D
Really ought to cut it with the strimmer though, tis dry now. And too hot. I'm never happy ;D
-
You should get a goat for the Serengeti Aaron!! It'd sort out the grass quickly and probably the Jag bits and bobs when it got hungry!! ;)
BBQ'd goat is lovely too!!! :-* :y

Petrol mower is what you need :y
Gave mine the second cut of the year today, the last one was about 6 weeks ago......grass was about foot hight ::)
Highest cut on the mower and with it making grunting noises/puffing out smoke in places, 10 mins later (well another 10mins running back and forth emptying the grass box) job jobbed :y
